Assetto Corsa EVO: getting started

Your server is ready to race a few minutes after ordering. The first start takes a minute or two while it prepares.

1. Open your control panel

Log in at rapidhosting.uk, open your AC EVO service and click Open control panel. You're signed straight in: no second account. The How to join box at the top of the Console shows your server address and exactly how to connect.

2. Set up your event: the Race Setup tab

Pick your track, cars, event type (practice, or a race weekend with qualifying and race) and session lengths, weather, starting grip, car setups and passwords (set a driver password for a private server), then press Save & restart. Driver slots are set by your plan.

3. Live timing: the Race tab

See who's on track, their laps, last lap, best lap and the gap to the leader, updating every few seconds.

4. Car mods

In the Files tab, open the mods folder and upload your .kspkg car mod, then restart the server.
Every driver must install the exact same .kspkg on their PC (in %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\ACE\mods) or they won't be able to join.

5. Join your server

In Assetto Corsa EVO, open the online server list and search for your server name. Enter the driver password if you set one.

6. Automatic restarts and backups

Under the Console, the Automation box turns on a daily restart and a daily backup at a time you choose (UK time). Daily backups keep your most recent backups and replace the oldest automatically; lock a backup in the Backups tab to keep it for good. You can take and restore backups yourself at any time from the Backups tab. Restoring a backup replaces the server's current files with the ones in the backup.
