Terms of Service
1. Who we are
RapidHosting ("we", "us") is a UK-based business. You can contact us at support@rapidhosting.uk. These terms apply between us and you, the customer ("you").
2. Our services
We provide hosted game servers (for example Assetto Corsa EVO, Assetto Corsa and Minecraft) on a monthly subscription, managed through our control panel at panel.rapidhosting.uk. Each plan comes with the resources described on its product page (such as RAM, storage, CPU allocation, player/driver slots and backups).
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to create an account and order.
- You must give accurate details and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including on any server you share with others.
4. Ordering and when the contract starts
Your order is an offer to buy. The contract between us starts when your payment has been taken and your server has been set up, which normally happens automatically within a few minutes. We may refuse or cancel an order (with a full refund) if, for example, we cannot provide the service or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse.
5. Immediate start and your right to cancel
Your server is set up and made available immediately after payment. At checkout you ask us to start the service straight away. If you are a consumer, you still have a 14-day right to cancel your first order (see our Refund Policy). Because you asked for the service to start immediately, if you cancel within that period we will refund you minus a proportionate amount for the service provided up to the point you told us you were cancelling.
6. Prices, billing and renewal
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) on our website. We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.
- Services are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel.
- We issue your renewal invoice 7 days before the due date and send a reminder beforehand.
- If a renewal invoice is not paid, your server is suspended 2 days after the due date, and your server and all of its data are permanently deleted 14 days after the due date. Please download anything you want to keep before then.
- We may change our prices. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to an existing subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
7. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time from your account on our website. Cancellation stops future renewals; your server stays available until the end of the period you've already paid for, and is then removed. Apart from your cancellation rights in section 5 and our Refund Policy, we do not refund part-used months.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use our services, or allow others to use them:
- for anything illegal, or to store or share content that is illegal, infringes anyone's rights, or is abusive, hateful or sexually explicit involving minors;
- to attack, scan, or disrupt other systems (including denial-of-service attacks), or to send spam;
- for cryptocurrency mining, running open proxies/VPNs, or any use unrelated to hosting the game server you ordered;
- in a way that deliberately harms our systems or other customers, or tries to get around the limits of your plan.
If you break these rules we may suspend or terminate your service. Where the breach is serious we may do this without notice and without a refund.
9. Games, mods and your content
- You are responsible for complying with the licence terms of the games you run (for example the Minecraft EULA and the terms of Kunos Simulazioni for Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa EVO), and for any mods, plugins, maps or other content you upload.
- You keep ownership of your content. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to provide the service.
- Game publishers may change or withdraw their server software. We'll do our reasonable best to keep supported games working, but we can't guarantee compatibility with every update or mod.
10. Backups and your data
Your plan includes backup slots you can create from the control panel, and we also take our own backups to protect our systems. However, you are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important. We are not liable for loss of game data beyond making reasonable efforts to restore from backups we hold.
11. Availability and maintenance
We aim to keep services running at all times but cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may need to carry out maintenance, which we'll try to schedule at quiet times and announce where possible. Outages can also be caused by things outside our control, such as network attacks or failures at our datacentre provider. If your service is unavailable for a significant period due to a fault on our side, contact us and we'll give a fair credit or refund.
12. Our liability to you
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
- If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses.
- Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service in the 3 months before the problem arose.
13. Suspension and termination by us
We may suspend or end your service if you don't pay, if you break these terms, if we're required to by law, or if continuing would put our systems or other customers at risk. Where reasonable we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we end the service for reasons that aren't your fault, we'll refund any unused prepaid period.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes in the law or our services. We'll email you about significant changes at least 30 days before they apply to you. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
15. Complaints and law
If you're unhappy, please open a support ticket (or, if you can't log in, email support@rapidhosting.uk) and we'll try to resolve it quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can bring proceedings in your local courts.
